ZOOM Children's Museum collects, processes and uses personal data in accordance with the provisions of the Austrian Data Protection Act and does everything in its power to protect your data in the best possible way.
Below you can read which data is collected when you register for the ZOOM Newsletter, when you register to receive ZOOM folders by post and when you visit our website and register for the ZOOM account for online reservations, and how this data is used.
 
1. What personal data is processed and where does it come from?
When registering for the ZOOM newsletter and accreditation for the ZOOM account for online reservations, the time of registration is stored in addition to the form fields visible on the website such as e-mail address, first name and surname (for institutions also the institution address).
When registering to receive ZOOM folders by post, your first name, surname and postal address are recorded.
The information you provide is voluntary and is based on your express consent to data processing. Your data will never be passed on to third parties.
 
2. For what purpose is personal data processed?
ZOOM Children's Museum collects and processes your voluntarily provided data in order to inform you about the ZOOM programme by newsletter and/or send you folders by post. You will receive ZOOM programme information, invitations to ZOOM openings and special events.
 
3. How do I give my consent to receive the newsletter?
By registering for the newsletter, you consent to the above-mentioned personal data being processed for marketing purposes at ZOOM Children's Museum (double opt-in). The information you provide is voluntary. You can revoke your consent at any time.
 
4. How do I subscribe to and unsubscribe from the ZOOM newsletter and postal mailings?
To send you the newsletter, we need your e-mail address, your name and, if you wish to receive postal mailings, your postal address. The data is stored and managed in our internal database.
As soon as you have registered for the newsletter, you will receive an e-mail with a confirmation link for registration (double opt-in).
If you no longer wish to receive newsletters or postal mailings from us, you can of course unsubscribe at any time.
Options for this are:
 
- in the newsletter itself via the “Unsubscribe newsletter” link at the end of the message (double opt out)
- in your ZOOM account via the unsubscribe function (double opt out)
- in writing by e-mail to office(at)kindermuseum.at
- in writing by post to the ZOOM Children's Museum Association, MuseumsQuartier, Museumsplatz 1, A-1070 Vienna.
  • To unsubscribe from postal mailings, please use the e-mail or postal service.
 
5. Data security
The security of your data is important to us. We take all necessary technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of data processing and to protect your personal data from access by unauthorised third parties.
 
6. Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, cancellation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection claims have otherwise been violated in any way, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority (www.dsb.gv.at).
 
7. ZOOM website www.kindermuseum.at
We collect information about how you use our website. This includes information that your browser or device sends to our servers when you visit the website. For example, your IP address and the type of browser and device you use can be determined. Your browser may also tell us which page you came to our website from and, if applicable, the search terms you entered into a search engine that directed you to our website. We may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about how you use our websites.

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc (Google). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable your use of the website to be analysed. IP anonymisation is activated on our website, so your IP address is only processed in abbreviated form. This excludes the possibility of direct personal references. This anonymisation code addition ensures further processing in accordance with data protection law.
